It’s the single greatest influence and driver of modern life. And still, large swaths of our communities lack reliable internet access. From healthcare to education to maintaining professional and social connections, living on the dark side of this digital divide threatens the wellbeing of too many South Carolinians.

So we were thrilled to kick off 2023 with a comprehensive branding and public education effort with a new initiative to expand broadband access to every citizen. Though still in an early phase, GetConnectedSC is an initiative of the SC Office Of Regulatory Staff and the Department of Administration. It seeks to gauge the internet needs of state residents via a brief survey. The data collected will help determine where and when significant investments in broadband infrastructure are made over the next year, as well as education and equity measures designed to put digital opportunities in reach of everyone. It’s important work driven by human connection and we’re excited to be a part of it.
