TECHNOLOGY FIRM SELECTS RIGGS PARTNERS FOR MARKETING CAMPAIGN
COLUMBIA, SC – Riggs Partners has been selected to develop a new brand and strategic marketing campaign for FivePoint Solutions, a rapidly growing technology company founded one year ago in Columbia, South Carolina.
FivePoint Solutions is an enterprise information management (EIM) firm that provides document management, data exchange and conversion services to clients with record-management responsibilities, such as clerks of court.
“Our company is seeking to enhance its corporate image, differentiate ourselves from competitors and nurture continual growth,” said Cicero Lucas, president and partner of FivePoint Solutions. “We are a technology-based company, but what we really value are the relationships with our clients. Riggs Partners presented us with a plan that I believe will improve our methods of communicating with existing and prospective clients.”
Riggs Partners is tasked with positioning and differentiating the firm within the competitive EIM market. The scope of work will include corporate identity, branding and digital communications.
“Now is an exciting time to be working with FivePoint Solutions,” said Kevin Smith of Riggs Partners. “A company that has managed to move forward in a broken economy is destined for success. We look forward to collaborating with an innovative group of technologists to develop and distinguish the FivePoint Solutions brand.”

Riggs Partners Wins Silver ADDY At Third District
COLUMBIA, SC – Riggs Partners’ work for Preservation Trust of Spartanburg won a Silver ADDY at the 2010 Third District ADDY competition. The ADDY Awards is a three-tiered national competition conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation and is the industry’s largest and most representative competition for creative excellence.
The winning entry was a new identity system, patina, developed for Preservation Trust of Spartanburg during Riggs Partners’ 2009 CreateAthon. The work, which included three original illustrations, was designed by Ryon Edwards in collaboration with George Fulton.
Riggs Partners’ work competed at the District level against Gold ADDY winners from 12 advertising markets in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Work was judged in Greensboro, North Carolina, and winners were announced March 29.
“This project was so much fun to work on and a wonderful collaborative experience,” Edwards said. “We really believe in what patina is doing — offering quality salvaged items to the public to reuse and repurpose, which is sustainable and responsible. I’m honored that the work was chosen.”

Riggs Partners Presents Small Agency Model
COLUMBIA, SC – Cathy Monetti and Teresa Coles presented Riggs Partners’ new agency model to an audience of more than fifty agency principals who attended The SMALL+SMART Agency seminar, held February 9, 2010, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. The seminar, hosted by marketing business improvement network Second Wind, focused on the benefits of functioning as a smaller, more client-friendly outsourcing agency.
In August of 2009, Riggs Partners made the innovative move from a larger agency of departmental employees to a horizontally-structured five-person partnership that develops all the marketing work, including strategy, brand voice and visual style. Then they assemble, through their external network of specialists, a custom creative team to produce components of the program.
It was five months after the structure change when Tony Mikes, Second Wind managing director, invited the partners to share the Riggs model at the The SMALL+SMART Agency seminar.
“Riggs Partners was smart to make this shift from traditional ad agency to small and smart outsourcing agency,” said Mikes. “Their structure is a wise and timely response to economic change, overhead-weary clientele, increased freelancing and advanced technology. They have recognized an idea whose time has come.”
Monetti and Coles provided expert advice to agency principals from all across the country. “It will be interesting to see how many traditional agencies now move to a smaller structure,” Monetti said. “I hope to see many follow suit, because I truly believe – especially for midsize companies – our structure is the agency model of the future.”

RIGGS PARTNERS CHOOSES ORGANIZATIONS TO RECEIVE CREATEATHON® SERVICES
COLUMBIA, SC — Four Upstate and three Midlands South Carolina nonprofit organizations will be the beneficiaries of free marketing and creative services provided by Riggs Partners in its 12th annual CreateAthon®. The 24-hour work-around-the-clock effort will begin Thursday, September 17th.
Organizations selected as CreateAthon clients this year include: Arts Partnership of Greater Spartanburg, Heartworm Project/PAALS, Spartanburg Area Conservancy, The Humanities Council, The Palmetto Opera, The Preservation Trust of Spartanburg, and The Spartanburg Soup Kitchen.
“It’s always a difficult task to select only a few nonprofits from the vast pool of applications,” said Cathy Monetti, Riggs partner and co-founder of CreateAthon. “This year was especially difficult, in that nonprofits have been affected so dramatically by the economy. It’s our hope through CreateAthon to help offset some of this economic pressure for nonprofits by donating marketing and public relations services.”
Nonprofits located in the Lowcountry will be served by CreateAthon partner Trio Solutions based in Mt. Pleasant.
Riggs Partners expanded its local CreateAthon event into a national program in 2002. Since that time, more than 70 agencies in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico have participated, helping more than 1,000 nonprofit organizations by delivering 2,248 projects valued in excess of $10 million. “The work of CreateAthon is more important than ever,” said Teresa Coles, Riggs partner and co-founder of CreateAthon. “We hope more agencies across the country will join us in this effort.”
